This is a great job for someone to partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we provide whole customer solutions. Ideally, you\’ll be based a commutable distance to the Poole or Bournemouth area as you will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers within the area to proactively develop and profitably grow a commercial book of business! A bit about the job: Within the role you will work collaboratively within one of our Southeast underwriting teams to support both the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financials. You will need great organisation and time management skills including the ability to manage own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment. Within the role you will: Need a consistent track record of underwriting commercial new business Have experience in dealing with insurance brokers and or customers Showcase excellent interpersonal skills, visiting brokers to develop, build up and strengthen working relationships, as well as ensuring continued visibility in the market Have the skills to mentor and develop others Be working towards underwriting licence levels as appropriate to your job grade. Skills and experience we’re looking for: Previous Property and Liability underwriting experience or Motor trade & Fleet Capability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers Ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation Strong commercial business insight to create and deliver business cases What you’ll get for this role: Competitive Starting salary (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications) Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
