The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the FPA team as a key member. This role will be responsible for helping to drive the business forward in a profitable manner, offering valuable insights and process improvement whilst taking the lead on financial matters and ensuring delivery of business and operational objectives. This role will cover both the PayPoint and Love2shop segments of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective analysis, management, and forecasting of groupβs cost base.
- Drive simplification and automation using Workday for both of the above.
- Support the finance business partner supporting the IT and HR exec directors taking lead on financial matters and ensuring delivery of business and operational objectives.
- Review of monthly cost reports and supporting KPIs from financial control and working with departmental heads to supply variance analysis and understanding cost management performance.
- Ensuring delivery of an easy-to-understand central reporting pack and providing overview of the Β£100m+ total cost base and supporting KPIs and metrics.
- Support planning and forecasting of operational processes providing accurate and timely future & working closely with other business partners to ensure alignment of costs to revenues in plans.
- Surfacing data on which to base decisions identifying cost levers, the contribution to financial performance, driving understanding of consequences to decision-making.
- Drive improvements to operational performance and procedures, through effective business partnering.
- Ad hoc, proactive investigation, reports, capital proposals and financial propositions relevant to business/function strategy and performance.
- Support to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for ensure delivery of FP&A responsibilities.
- Key user of Workday developing a practical understanding of models and processes.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant.
- Track record of delivery and accountability for results.
- Engaging personality; confident, enthusiastic and able to build strong relationships.
- Influencing and clear communication skills; able to simplify complex technical or business issues.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent Excel skills and a knowledge of financial planning tools desirable.
- Willing to roll sleeves up in order to get things done.
