Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef Manager to join our team working at The Dale Barracks, Liverpool Road, Chester, CH2 4BD. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the unit, preparing meals, delegating tasks to your team, and leading your team to success. You will manage production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

- This is a full-time position, £13.42 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, (shift pattern, 5 days over 7 including occasional weekends).
- Shifts range between 06:30 and 19:00, leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within hospitality.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager:
- Hot and cold food production for the deli grab & go and hot counter food service for both breakfast and lunchtime.
- You will be organising and coordinating hospitality – alongside leading the team to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and in line with Aramark brand standards.
- Accountable for stock flow and rotation of products.
- Placing orders and stock rotation, carrying out regular stock takes and completing the relevant back-office paperwork.
- Handle customer complaints as required.
- Direct and coach team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Relevant culinary qualification (706 / 1 or 706 / 2 or equivalent)
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
