We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Planner to join our team. The Project Planner will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, and supporting project teams in achieving objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in project management tools, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes. This role will also support our Sales team on key strategic opportunities which require project programmes.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
- Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Analyse resource requirements and ensure optimal allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports, dashboards, and updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Facilitate planning meetings and ensure clear communication of timelines and expectations across all parties.
- Maintain documentation of project plans, changes, and lessons learned for future reference.
- Assist in budgeting and cost tracking to align project plans with financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or a related role.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMP/Prince2 principles).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights to improve project performance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred: Certification such as PMP, CAPM, or Prince2 is a plus.
