Nottingham Trent House (95002), United Kingdom, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Vendor Relationship Manager About this role: This is an exciting opportunity to join Capital One’s UK Supplier Management Office (SMO). We have roles in Vendor Relationship Management. Our Supplier Management Office manages the entire Third Party lifecycle for Capital One in the UK, including sourcing, contracting, and ongoing vendor management. You will manage assigned third-party suppliers, supporting business stakeholders by overseeing relationships to ensure a stable supply chain. You’ll join a growing team of Supply Chain Vendor Relationship professionals passionate about their careers and understanding the value of each supply chain part. What you’ll do: Manage key vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with Capital One’s Third Party Management Policy throughout the supplier lifecycle. Collaborate with peers in SMO, Risk and Governance, and Sourcing teams. Serve as the primary contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, maintaining effective governance and communication. Develop detailed knowledge of your suppliers’ businesses to build credibility and support strategic development. Work with internal teams to understand issues and improvement opportunities, facilitating discussions with suppliers. Expand market knowledge to evolve relationships and develop category strategies. Manage contracts in coordination with legal teams, including amendments and renewals. Ensure performance, risk, and compliance standards are met across the supply chain. Travel to various sites as required. What we are looking for: Experience in Vendor Relationship Management with proven results, including commercial and risk management skills. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in Risk Management and compliance with industry regulations. Contracting experience, working with legal teams on agreements. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships. A team player committed to collaboration and organizational success. Enthusiasm and passion for Vendor Relationship Management, with a desire to develop end-to-end lifecycle skills. Where and how you\’ll work: This is a permanent position based in Nottingham.
