What You'll Do

Viasat UK enables this vision by providing assured Data at Rest solutions that protect UK / Allied government and defence information. Viasat UK protects critical, sensitive data in servers, laptops, tablets, and tailored systems in a way that gives users greater mobility and operational flexibility without compromise. Viasat has transformed the market for delivery of Data at Rest solutions, and we are growing our team with a Lead Software Engineer to lead our software engineers and work on the development of Cyber and Information Assurance projects. As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage in-service support by liaising with customers to investigate issues affecting clients and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Support programme managers with project reporting, including scheduling, resource management, financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Consolidate data points and prepare reports for management and division leadership.
  • Assist in the compilation of whitepapers, bids, and proposals with content, cost, and scheduling information.
  • Support resource planning on wider design programs in collaboration with program managers.

What You'll Need

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator, with aspirations to grow into a Project Manager role.
  • Proactive and flexible project-oriented dedication, with the ability to collaborate with development, operations, and support teams within a global organization.
  • Must hold sole British Nationality (due to UK eyes-only projects) and have or be capable of obtaining UK security clearance (SC).

What Will Help You on the Job

  • Formal qualification in Project Management (APMP/Prince 2 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of MoD and/or security communications.
  • Understanding of End Volume Management practices.
  • Proven experience in project/program management and technical leadership.
