An exciting new role to join our highly successful sales unit as an Account Manager covering the East of England, including Midlands regions. The ideal candidate will live in or near Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire or Peterborough. This high-profile role will see you act as the lead interface between our customers and our Third-Party primary partners, to build long-term, collaborative, value-based relationships across the Danaher OpCo & Leica Biosystems Portfolio.
You will work on opportunities and implement strategies that will differentiate Leica Biosystems solution offering in this highly driven environment. Actively managing existing LBS Accounts in order to achieve maximum customer happiness and improve sales potential across the targeted portfolio. This role is a critical position responsible for generating revenue and market share for LBS products and services from customers in a defined territory of responsibility.
As part of Leica’s commitment to developing associates, the successful candidate with a proven track record in Account Management could be expected to progress to a regional Market Management role or potentially Sales Management role according to the candidate's skill set and experience.
In this role, you’ll:
- Promote the full LBS product and services portfolio through customer visits, relationship building, and working as a team.
- Develop account-based sales plans and strategies to own and grow the sales funnel via new opportunities, conference attendance, renewals and tenders within the territory and meet revenue expectations, based on a deep understanding of customer and end-user needs.
- Utilise the DBS (Danaher Business System) and SFDC (Salesforce Dot Com) toolboxes in daily work.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts for orders and sales.
- Supply information on market share, competitor activities, trends, and market developments in the geographic region.
What you’ll need to do the job:
- Relevant and demonstrable sales/account management experience with a clinical and/or life science environment.
- Preferably experience within histology/cellular pathology - especially in NHS and Research accounts.
- Ability to drive business success through handling customer needs, demonstrating a consistent and hardworking drive to bring change in support of growth over a period of time.
- Strong communication skills – sound eye for business that builds constructive and effective relationships both inside and outside the organization.
- Full driving licence, with ability to travel up to 60%.
