Support Practitioner (Driver)

We\’re seeking active and person-centred colleagues in Cumbernauld with experience supporting individuals with complex needs such as autism and challenging behaviours. Our #TeamNLCSCumbernauld offers 16-36 hour contracts on a permanent basis, along with relief opportunities for flexible working.

The Role

Join a friendly, supportive team providing 24/7 care to young men with complex needs in their own homes. As a Support Practitioner, you will assist with daily living activities, including cooking, personal care, managing finances, medication support, attending appointments, and helping with care plans and documentation. You will also support hobbies and interests like community activities, walking, swimming, exercising, music, social outings, and art classes. Every day offers new and varied experiences.

Note: Due to communication barriers, excellent English language skills are essential.

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence
• A caring and compassionate attitude
• Ability to work well in a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Creativity to enhance the lives of those supported
• Confidence in using computers

Having access to a car is beneficial but not essential, as many individuals have their own vehicles.
