Thrive Group is delighted to be working with our client in Westbury, who is actively looking to employ a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
- Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and liaising with internal departments, you will be responsible for raising purchase orders for raw materials and related products based on supplier lead times.
- Cross-reference POs with order confirmations (price, delivery date, product, etc.).
- Contact suppliers to improve delivery dates to meet production requirements.
- Book deliveries with the warehouse.
- Monitor stock levels on site and at supplier sites.
- Conduct stock counting of raw materials/accessories in production.
What you will need to succeed:
- Excellent communication skills and highly organized.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Good IT skills, including MS Office and manufacturing control systems.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
What you will receive in return:
- £25,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 16:30; Friday, 09:00 to 16:00 — 34.5 hours per week
- 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
- Possibility of voluntary overtime when required
