The Vacancy

North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a community-minded individual to provide a school crossing patrol service for children and their parents/guardians. Applicants should have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness. You will need to judge when it is safe to stop traffic to allow pedestrians to cross. The presence of a School Crossing Patrol encourages walking to school, benefiting the environment and health, and improving safety. Duty times are before school in the morning and after school in the afternoon. Good verbal communication skills are essential. This is a term-time only position. Patrol times: AM 08:25 – 08:55, PM 15:15 – 15:45. This is a temporary cover post for up to 2 years.
