Client: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

Rates: £23.53 - £50.37 per hour

Shifts: Flexible hours available, including day, night, and weekend shifts

Candidate Requirements

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Extended/Independent Prescribing Qualification
  • Accredited A&E or Minor Illness Qualification
  • Evidence of Continuous Personal Development
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner Qualification or First Contact Practitioner (or willingness to work towards this)
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Minimum of 6 months' experience in Primary Care, A&E, or a Minor Injuries Unit
    • Experience working as an autonomous practitioner
    • Clinical examination skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Demonstrates self-confidence and self-awareness in patient and staff interactions
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
    • Ability to articulate clinical decisions effectively
    • Leadership capabilities to support the nursing team and staff
    • Ability to assume management responsibilities when required
  • General Key Skills:
    • Quick-thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
