Your Role: As an Auto Parts Counter Professional, you’ll report directly to the Store Manager and be at the heart of our inside sales activity. You’ll build and maintain lasting relationships with our customers, ensuring they receive the best service and support. Your goal? “Get the Sale!” Close deals, meet targets, and help us drive success.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
- Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth.
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Get to know our customers and understand their needs.
- Locate hard-to-find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals.
- Provide precise quotes and follow up with customers to ensure orders are placed.
- Track lost sales and promote company specials.
- Assist colleagues when needed and foster new sales opportunities.
- Fulfill customer orders from various sectors, including installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
- Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years in counter sales in a competitive market, with a preference for wholesale auto parts sales in the aftermarket industry.
- Exceptional phone skills with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone.
- An existing customer base is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Passionate about exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
- General automotive knowledge is preferred.
- Focused on results, a producer, closer, and committed to growth.
- Experience with POS systems and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
- Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives.
- Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, with a “can-do” attitude and tenacity in pursuit of goals.
