Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre

Salary: up to £33.57 per hour

About the role

  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules offered by Leeds Beckett International Study Centre.
  • Prepare and deliver teaching lectures, seminars, and tutorials, with variable hours up to 25 hours per week.
  • Write and prepare examinations and other assessment methods.
  • Mark assessments and provide feedback, including tutorials and student reports.
  • Develop and update course materials, including Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) content.
  • Assist with induction, orientation, and registration programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student welfare and progression.
  • Track student progress and implement intervention strategies.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor for student groups.
  • Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and contribute to course reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
  • Participate in quality assurance meetings and university governance.
  • Attend training and maintain a record of professional development activities.

About you

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or industry experience. Current Master’s students with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or experience working with students.
  • Experience designing modules at Level 4.
  • Experience teaching computer science and engineering modules in UK higher or further education, including lab-based teaching, or relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming (Java, Python).
  • Web design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
