About the role
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and development of modules offered by Leeds Beckett International Study Centre.
- Prepare and deliver teaching lectures, seminars, and tutorials, with variable hours up to 25 hours per week.
- Write and prepare examinations and other assessment methods.
- Mark assessments and provide feedback, including tutorials and student reports.
- Develop and update course materials, including Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) content.
- Assist with induction, orientation, and registration programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student welfare and progression.
- Track student progress and implement intervention strategies.
- Act as a Personal Tutor for student groups.
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and contribute to course reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
- Participate in quality assurance meetings and university governance.
- Attend training and maintain a record of professional development activities.
About you
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or industry experience. Current Master’s students with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Relevant teaching qualification or experience working with students.
- Experience designing modules at Level 4.
- Experience teaching computer science and engineering modules in UK higher or further education, including lab-based teaching, or relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming (Java, Python).
- Web design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
