Field Based, Full Time, Permanent Role

We are now seeking an Electrician to join us in supporting our ongoing partnership with Celtic Horizons; to cover the Caerphilly area and surrounding locations, company van & fuel card provided. Call outs will be required as part of the role.

We deliver over 35,000 annual repairs, Void refurbishments, and planned upgrades. Celtic Horizons also provides estate services for United Welsh, including gas servicing, grounds maintenance, cleaning, and facility management. Celtic Horizons cares for over 6,500 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.

About the Role: As an Electrician with Celtic, you will work in tenanted properties on response work, undertaking general maintenance such as light/socket changes, full testing of properties, fault finding, and ventilation systems (e.g., Fans/PIVs). Holding a full UK driving license is essential. The role mainly covers Caerphilly and Cardiff, with potential travel to other areas as needed. You will assist with all electrical tasks, ideally with experience working within domestic and social housing, including installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances, in accordance with current IET wiring regulations, and completing electrical certificates and condition reports.

Role Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition AM2 Qualification
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in Social Housing
  • Preferably hold your Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent
  • Ideally hold City & Guilds Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing qualification 2377
  • Knowledge of PV Solar and Ventilation systems is advantageous
