Job Title: Data Protection Manager – Fixed Term Contract to Dec 2025
Location: Leeds, on site 2/3 x per week
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 pa plus Car Allowance

Data Protection Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the incident response process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and resolution of data breaches.
  • Manage data subject rights requests, providing guidance and support while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory authorities, responding to inquiries and managing data subject complaints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of data protection by design and ensure compliance with UK Data Protection Laws.
  • Develop and update data protection policies, procedures, and training materials to align with evolving regulations and best practices.

Data Protection Manager Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of UK Data Protection Laws, with prior experience in a data protection role within a client/customer centric environment.
  • Relevant data protection certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data protection management software OneTrust.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
