The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and driving new business in line with the divisional business plan. Working closely with Regional General Managers and Depot Managers, you will explore new commercial tendering opportunities and grow the business through acquisition and improvement initiatives to meet quarterly and annual targets. The role involves analyzing potential markets for additional services, identifying tendering opportunities, and assessing their commercial viability and fit within the Group\’s capabilities. Proactively selling profitable new business regionally or nationally to meet and exceed targets. Managing a sales territory and prospecting lists for new opportunities. Reporting activity on calls, leads, quotes, and contracts using the Company Operating System. Producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for the Head of Major Sales. Candidate requirements: Over 3 years’ experience in a comparable field-based B2B business development role. Proven sales record of contracted services worth at least £100,000 annually. Charismatic communicator capable of building and maintaining relationships at all levels.
