MAC Recruit are looking to recruit an experienced QA Manager for one of our clients based in Aberdeen. The candidate would be responsible for the day to day running of our client's QA department. The candidate must have either an engineering trade background or engineering degree, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering, marine and/or oil industry.

Duties would include but may not be restricted to:

  • Maintenance of Company Quality systems which include ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 45001; ISO 3824-2; ASME U + U2 Stamp; NBIC ‘R’ Stamp; BS EN 1090 Exc 3; DNV Approved Workshop for Welding; DNV Approved Workshop for Class Pressure Vessels and PED/PE(S)R Module H.
  • Delegating work to QA department team members.
  • Liaising with clients and subcontractors.
  • Handling all Company NCR’s.
  • Liaising with Company Welding Engineer and Welding Inspector regarding all welding requirements.
  • Handling all external QA audits for all accreditations.

Strong communication and people skills are essential. Applicants should also have:

  • Familiarity with grades of steel and other materials used in oil industry.
  • Working knowledge of all relevant ISO’s.
  • Understanding of Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance systems.
  • Familiarity with Classification Society rules – Lloyds, DNV and ABS.
  • Working knowledge of ASME + API.
