Cyber Security Detection Engineer – £250-300k Location: London (Hybrid working – 3 days in office per week) We\’ve recently partnered with an Investment Management firm looking to bring in a Security Engineer to enhance their Cyber Detection, Response and Investigation capability. Previous experience in a Software Development capacity or the ability to comfortably code in multiple languages, with an in-depth understanding of cloud environments and the associated tooling will be key. You will have ownership of the detection and response processes, as well as the design, implementation and maintenance of the platforms they use. This is genuinely an incredible opportunity to shape how security is built within one of the most established algorithmic trading firms worldwide, which has the backing of some of the most prestigious financial institutions. Responsibilities Design and implement secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure. Automate security controls and processes using scripting and programming languages. Work closely with Development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle and mitigate security risks. Promote a security focused culture across the organization Requirements Significant experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer in DevSecOps environments Thorough knowledge of AWS and implementing AWS Well Architected Security pillar Experience building security monitoring and detection tooling using open source technologies Strong proficiency in coding/scripting/development languages – Python, Terraform, Java ideally Experience working in fast-paced, top tier financial markets institutions highly desirable.
