We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our IT team at Harrods. This role will report to the Lead BI Analyst, within the wider Data & Analytics function.
About The Role
The business analyst will support with ownership of the BI reporting portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for a specific business area, ensuring that the production reporting suite is fit for purpose. The role will build a high level of expertise in the different systems and platforms in our data stack, as well as a strong understanding of the source systems and business processes supplying our data. You will also:
- Promote a data-driven approach throughout the business
- Leverage technical and business knowledge to influence process or system changes when needed to improve data quality or support new reporting requirements
- Deliver accurate, timely, and easy to interpret ad-hoc reports
- Gather requirements for and deliver new reports
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience using and working with Azure Data Factory and Fabric as these are critical for the role. You will also have previous experience in conducting analysis from large, multi-dimensional datasets and be proficient with Power BI and/or any other visualisation tool such as SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud). You will also have the following:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Experience with scripting in Python or R desired
- Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to data accuracy
- Strong communication ability, comfortable engaging non-technical stakeholders with technical content and vice versa
