Our client is one of the most recognised global brands for sizeable cross-border restructuring work. They have teams located across the UK and in major cities worldwide and it is their London team which is on the market for an experienced financial restructuring professional operating at the Associate Director level.
The team has an incredible track record delivering on some of the largest and high-profile assignments in the sector and as such, they want to ensure the person hired has credentials working on complex matters whether this be formal appointments of lender advisory projects.
What makes this role a unique one is the sector focus. The position sits in their Financial Services sub-team whereby they advice and act on formal insolvencies and advisory projects across various silos with FS including:
- retail and SME lenders, challenger banks, funds
- consumer credit & payments (e.g. motor financing)
- fin-tech platforms supporting the flow of money
- insurance / reinsurance, brokers
- crypto and NFTs
- asset and wealth management corporates
The role will be to lead on a portfolio of work with minimal oversight from a Partner or Director. Breath of experience will be key to the success of someone in this role. The work conducted by the team will include managing and delivering IBRs, wind down and contingency planning, options work and formal insolvency appointments including special administrations.
Associate Directors in the team set the budgets on assignments and ensure the projects are running to budget and billing on time. You will take responsibility for compliance on the formal appointments and be technically astute to handle the more complex review work.
To be shortlisted:
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualified
- Must have demonstrable experience across IBRs, short-term cash flow reviews, accelerated sales processes, contingency planning and formal insolvency appointments including pre-packaged administrations.
- Exposure to matters in the FS sector. Projects across some of the FS silos listed above.
- Experience operating in a managerial capacity, ideally as an Associate Director.
