Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work on a supply basis at a welcoming secondary school in Flint.
About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects. You will manage the classroom environment, support students with their learning, and ensure the school's policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to secondary-age students
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task
- Provide assistance to students where needed to support their understanding
- Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders as required
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work, etc.)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Adaptability and a proactive approach
- A commitment to supporting students' education and well-being
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
- Right to work in the UK
- Registered on the EWC
