The role: My client, an established FinTech organisation, is looking for a Junior-Mid Level Linux/Unix Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have around 4 years of experience and is likely looking for or in their 2nd role. Initially, you will be required on site 3-5 days during the training period. Once bedded in, this will become 3 days.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and deploying both Desktop and Server Linux/Unix based systems
- Working on global solutions
- Liaising with Developers, Traders, and numerous other teams
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
Core experience required:
- Strong experience with Linux / Unix
- Understanding of Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Multicast etc.
- Scripting and Automation – Bash, Python, Shell, Ansible etc.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence (or other ITSM tooling) highly desirable
