The role:

My client, an established FinTech organisation are looking for a Junior-Mid Level Linux/Unix Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have around 4 years of experience, and is likely looking for or in their 2nd role.

Initially, you will be required on site 3-5 days during the training period. Once bedded in, this will become 3 days.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and deployment both Desktop and Server Linux/Unix based systems
• Working on global solutions
• Liaising with Developers, Traders, and numerous other teams
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

Core experience required:

• Strong experience with Linux / Unix
• Understanding of Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Multicast etc.
• Scripting and Automation – Bash, Python, Shell, Ansible etc.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence (or other ITSM tooling) highly desirable
