Overview:
Accountable for the Platform Active Systems (e.g. Fully Active Susp, eARC, Rear Wheel Steer, Steer by Wire etc.), to enhance the vehicle performance to match targets and timeline. To plan Active Sys Strategy within the program milestones and run Calibration sessions together with Performance Engineering. Lead integration with HW/SW stakeholders beyond Vehicle Dynamics. Proactive collaboration with Program Leads and CAE/Performance engineers is key for success in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Vehicle Dynamics Principal Engineer
- Support Principal Engineer in Resource/Budget/Tools definition
- Lead Active Systems Concept work towards Vehicle Dynamics DNA
- Lead specific Active Sys Benchmark activity
- Support CAE Active Sys Implementation in the models and correlation of their specific performance with testing data
- Quantify delta improvement from Passive to Active vehicle
- Cascade Active Systems Targets to Commodities and HW/SW owners
- Support Development team in Active Sys Testing Procedure definition
- Ensure consistent reporting combining Testing Data & CAE Simulation
- Keep up to date with latest technologies in the industry
- Run meetings with Suppliers and report in high management meetings
Must Have Requirements:
- Experience in Vehicle Dynamics / relevant for role
- Good theoretical vehicle dynamics knowledge
- Good understanding of Customer Subjective Perception from Objective Performance data
- Good understanding of K&C axle data, Vehicle Dynamics Metrics, Targets and Testing
- High knowledge of vehicle tuning techniques
- High knowledge of calibration techniques and software used in Automotive
- Good knowledge of data processing software (e.g. MatLab)
Nice to Have Criteria:
- Medium knowledge of ADAMS Car (Adams View)
- Logical and clear reporting mindset: Assumption/Target/Action/Conclusion/Recommendation
- Experience in subjective/objective feeling/data interpretation
