ASA Recruitment are currently looking for Project Workers to join us and help deliver support to adults living in temporary homeless accommodation. Our clients provide a unique housing support service which provides intensive support to people who have experienced trauma in their lives and who have been affected by childhood experiences, such as neglect, domestic violence, mental illness, and alcohol/substance abuse, resulting in long-term effects on their behaviour.
As a Project Worker, you will be supporting people transitioning into independent living within their local communities and providing practical support in all aspects of everyday living including emotional/therapeutic support when required. A key part of the role will be to ensure trust is developed with each individual.
What you will need to bring to the role:
- Proven experience of supporting people who are homeless and providing intensive support to people with complex needs.
- Compassion, understanding and ability to work under pressure.
- Confidence and ability to work with people 1:2:1 and in a community-based setting.
- Ability to identify and respond effectively to individual emotional support needs.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
