Role Overview
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who lives and breathes great campaigns. If you love taking a brief and turning it into eye-catching, effective design, from the first idea through to final delivery, this role could be the perfect fit. We need someone who gets the full journey of a campaign, sweats the small stuff, and takes pride in producing work that stands out. You’ll be helping us grow the Pro:Direct brand (and our sister companies) by creating bold, memorable campaigns that boost awareness and make an impact. It’s a role for someone with a marketer’s mindset and a designer’s eye — and don’t worry, you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be part of a friendly, creative team that’s always got your back. Please include a copy of your portfolio with your application, or share a link to your online portfolio. The role is based at our HQ in Newton Abbot, Devon, but there will be an option to work one day a week from home.
What you need to do as a Graphic Designer:
- Design and produce creative assets for digital and print channels, including social media, websites, email marketing, presentations, brochures, signage, packaging, and advertising.
- Translate creative briefs into high-quality design solutions that align with project objectives and timelines.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with all teams to understand project requirements and deliver on business objectives.
- Confidently articulate & communicate your vision and creative ideas to the wider team.
- Responsible for producing new ideas and concepts for more complex projects.
- Ensure smooth delivery of projects.
The experience/qualifications/skills we need:
- Design qualification - degree or equivalent.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, etc.) and other relevant tools.
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, colour theory, and composition.
- Good working knowledge of digital design and UX principles.
- A collaborative working style with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and co-workers.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to work to a high level of creativity, accuracy and technical ability.
- Takes critique constructively and uses feedback to improve creative solutions.
What you get:
- 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) rising to 33 days with length of service.
- 3 days paid sickness.
- Workplace pension through Royal London.
- Staff discount of up to 30% (Pro:Direct) and 50% (Do Clothing).
- National Gym discounts are available through Hussle and Nuffield Health.
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) through AXA Health for staff & family members.
- 'Refer a friend’ policy, with bonus rewards for successful referrals.
- Free Annual Flu Jabs.
- Enhanced Sick Pay Scheme for staff with over 5 years length of service.
- Casual work attire.
PDS has a vibrant & passionate culture.
