We are working with a leading organisation in the logistics industry to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing cargo business with state-of-the-art facilities, playing a pivotal role in developing and managing key accounts in the perishables market.
The Role
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within the perishables sector, working closely with growers, exporters, shipping lines, supermarkets, and logistics providers.
- Manage key client relationships, driving revenue growth and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Promote the business across the perishables market, attending trade events and networking to expand brand awareness.
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee implementation to drive long-term partnerships.
- Provide market analysis and insights, supporting senior leadership with data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and technical teams to enhance service offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development and account management within perishables, shipping, logistics, or the supply chain industry.
- Strong industry network, ideally with supermarkets, importers, and growers.
