Who we are looking for
A Build and Release Coordinator, who will work alongside some of the best developers and cutting edge technologies.
The Back Office Members department is vital to the continued success of the Business operations, having responsibility for developing and supporting a number of critical tools.
You will be supporting the team in progressing releases through route to live channels onto our production environments.
This is a full stack team where the core skills are .Net and Golang, with a range of Windows and Linux operating system. We use custom-built CI and CD pipelines to deliver hundreds of production releases each day.
The day to day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical, organisational and people skills who have a passion for software development and are ready to tackle some of technology’s greatest challenges.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Delivery and results focused.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, of both technical and non-technical subjects with the ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical issues.
- Ability to manage and react quickly in a pressured environment, whilst remaining calm.
- Process orientated, with good time management and scheduling skills.
- Ability to manage parallel work streams and be comfortable with context switching.
- Passionate about the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and associated technology.
- Proactive in identifying areas of improvement within current processes and driving change.
- Understanding of code repository and source control management including Git.
- Knowledge of Splunk, Elk, Grafana, Jenkins and Jira.
- Understanding of SQL.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing code repositories and automated build systems.
- Owning the application and database release processes, including versioning and release tickets.
- Orchestrating our weekly releases and communicating with multiple teams to ensure releases are delivered time.
- Updating stakeholders on the status of all releases.
- Ensuring Git branches are kept in a good state, allowing smooth transition of production code through the Git workflow.
- Improving process and release activities to ensure that the activity of planning and releasing software improves over time.
