Polish-Speaking Employers’ Liability/Public Liability (EL/PL) Solicitor Location: Manchester (Remote with occasional monthly office attendance) Type of Role: Permanent, Full-Time Hybrid working arrangement: predominantly remote, with one office visit per month. About the Role: Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing law firm based in Manchester, is seeking a Polish-speaking Employers’ Liability/Public Liability (EL/PL) Solicitor due to an expanding caseload. You will have the opportunity to manage a full caseload of liability claims from start to finish, taking ownership of diverse cases in a supportive team environment. In this role, you will be working alongside a great team, while reporting directly to an experienced manager. Fluency in Polish is preferred but not essential. Key Responsibilities: Take full ownership of a caseload of employers’ liability and public liability claims from inception through to resolution. Assess liability and damages, review medical reports, and conduct thorough analysis of claims. Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and schedules of loss. Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring efficient progression of cases. Collaborate with the portal team and other solicitors to ensure the smooth handling of cases. Work closely with the team manager to meet departmental objectives and performance targets. Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards throughout case management. About You: The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with: 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in managing EL/PL claims. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and case law in EL/PL matters. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail. Exceptional client care abilities and effective communication skills. A collaborative approach to working with solicitors and support staff. Fluency in Polish is preferred but not essential. Willingness to attend the Manchester office at least once per month.
