Run a weekly drop-in center to offer early help and advice to young people and their families, and signpost to relevant support agencies. Set up and deliver outreach sessions with partner agencies, being the first point of contact for referrals. Develop and implement partnership working across public, voluntary, and community sectors to provide integrated support including housing advice and assistance. Monitor and review joint working arrangements, providing feedback on outcomes and performance. Provide advice and support to stakeholders such as Service Heads, Social Workers, Youth Offending Service, health services, and housing providers. Develop and deliver training to partnership agencies about the service and promote an integrated approach to early help. Work closely with organizations to provide holistic multi-agency responses to housing and support needs. Carry out homelessness prevention work, liaising with landlords and families, using mediation techniques where appropriate. Manage and prioritize caseloads, evaluate cases, and coordinate with other services. Safeguard young people and vulnerable adults, escalating concerns as needed, and conducting inter-agency referrals. Ensure early help services are accessible, inform relevant parties of outcomes, and provide follow-up support. Attend panel and case conference meetings as required. Stay updated on legislative changes and new developments related to young people and early help resources. Submit monthly reports on service activities and outcomes, including feedback and impact measurement. Encourage young people to participate in life skills programs and achieve qualifications. Motivate engagement in education, training, and employment, providing support for progress and problem-solving. Refer young people to work experience and employment opportunities, establishing links with training providers and employers. Identify additional resources and services suitable for the client group. Maintain accurate records of support plans, progress, and case notes. Conduct holistic risk and needs assessments, developing support and risk management plans. Support young people\’s development of positive family and support networks. Assist in preparing young people for settled accommodation and ongoing support. Be available for regular support sessions, respond to crises, and ensure safeguarding. Promote participation of young people in their support plans and service management. Facilitate access to other support services and ensure benefit claims are maintained. Organize and accompany young people to appointments as needed. Be flexible with hours, including out-of-hours support and emergency cover. Work collaboratively within the team, including supporting volunteers, trainees, and students. Assist in preparing accommodation, including some cleaning duties, and support induction of new staff. QUALIFICATIONS NVQ 4 or above in Advice & Guidance, Health and Social Care, Youth Work, or an equivalent relevant qualification. NVQ Level 5, or working towards, in Advice & Guidance, Health and Social Care, Youth Work, or an equivalent relevant qualification. ROLE EXPERIENCE Experience working with young people in settings such as Youth Work, Residential, Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education, or Housing. Experience of inter-agency working and delivering training/briefings across partnerships. Minimum 2 years of mediation experience working one-on-one with young people and families to prevent homelessness. Experience working with volunteers and students.
