An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, hardworking, and experienced professional to join our team of sector specialist career coaches. They will operate across Lancaster University Management School with a focus on the marketing profession and related sectors.
This role will be crucial to the work of LUMS Careers, providing bespoke coaching and careers education to undergraduates, postgraduates, and alumni who aspire to develop careers within marketing, advertising, communications, and management, within agency environments and client side. The role supports our objective to make a hugely positive impact on the employability of students and graduates as measured by the Graduate Outcomes Survey, and on careers related metrics in strategically crucial surveys such as the Financial Times rankings and the QS World University Rankings.
You will engage with students as part of the curriculum, through information, advice, and guidance appointments and extra-curricular interventions. The role will also involve networking with agencies of all kinds, industry employers, not for profit organisations and public sector employers.
Educated to degree level, you will have recent, relevant, marketing or advertising professional experience at an appropriate level (we are open to different areas of specialisation) and/or significant experience of graduate recruitment and student/talent development. You will have an engaging and effective professional approach, with confidence in your ability to develop your network across the sector.
Your previous relevant experience will have equipped you for adapting flexibly to this role and you will be someone who thrives on change, seeks new challenges, and has a passion for helping a diverse community of students and graduates.
