Job Description As a Surgery-Biased Small Animal Vet, you’ll be at the heart of their surgical department, performing a wide range of complex and routine surgeries on small animals. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in the surgical field and is keen to further develop their surgical skills. In addition to your surgical duties, you’ll work alongside a team of skilled vets, nurses, and support staff, providing the highest standard of care to all patients. /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n – Advanced Surgical Procedures: Perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, with the opportunity to take on more complex cases as you progress. /n – Pre-Surgical Care: Assess and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring the highest standards of care before, during, and after the procedure. /n – Client Communication: Guide pet owners through the surgery process, explaining the risks, benefits, and aftercare, ensuring they feel confident in their pets’ care. /n – Post-Operative Care: Manage and monitor recovery, providing both medical care and support for pet owners post-surgery. /n – Diagnostic Support: Utilize modern diagnostic tools and work alongside your colleagues to formulate treatment plans and surgical strategies. /n /n About You:/n /n – Experienced Vet: You are a qualified veterinary surgeon with current RCVS registration and a solid background in surgery. /n – Surgical Expertise: You have a keen interest in surgery, with solid experience in soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.
