Thorntons has one of the leading Personal Injury teams in Scotland, working tirelessly on behalf of clients with injuries ranging from whiplash to complex traumatic injuries. Recognized as experts in their field, our team includes several industry leaders. We are seeking a Legal Secretary to join our team and help us deliver excellent service to our clients. This is a busy court department, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting cases with full support from colleagues.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and formatting letters, legal documents, and correspondence, including audio and copy typing.
- Assisting with email and telephone enquiries, capturing and relaying information accurately.
- Supporting the legal team with case management system usage (training provided).
- Maintaining accurate file records, tracking document versions and revisions.
- Preparing legal and court forms using online portals.
- Preparing and issuing invoices.
- Photocopying and scanning documents.
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including distribution.
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
