Key responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Supervisor will include:
- Run shifts and provide direction and support for colleagues in the F&B department, including the dining room, bar, private dining and meetings and events.
- Be fully conversant with the wine list.
- Prepare and serve appropriately, using legal measures and relevant glassware.
- Cash up at end of shift and follow correct procedures for banking.
- Deal with queries from all guests and do utmost to provide guest satisfaction.
- Operate computerised tills using correct prices and follow correct cash procedures.
- Ensure all promotions and deals are correctly inputted into the till.
- Ensure correct menus and prices are displayed.
- Open and close areas following correct procedure.
- Undertake daily and weekly cleaning following cleaning checklists.
- Provide consistent quality customer service.
- Complete all paperwork efficiently, correctly and on time.
- Order stock and keep stock levels to a correct level.
- Deal with customer complaints and then report to a manager.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are consistently applied in accordance with hotel health and safety policy.
The Ideal Food and Beverage Supervisor:
- Experience of working in a similar role and/or environment (preferably in a high-end restaurant within the hotel, leisure or hospitality industry would be a distinct advantage).
- High standard of personal presentation.
- Ability to give excellent customer service.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Sound knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
