About our Team: Cirium Ascend Consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Valuations Analyst to join our European team. This is an exciting opportunity within our Consultancy department, which is based across our London, Dublin, New York and Hong Kong offices. You will primarily be based in our Heathrow Office, as part of our diverse, global team of 30 analysts and consultants whose work is recognised as market-leading and industry influencing. About the role: As a Senior Analyst, you will work with experienced colleagues to conduct research into values across multiple aircraft types, as well as delivering those values to our clients, liaising with industry leaders in the process. You’ll also help drive the innovation and evolution of our product offering and support global advisory projects including collaborations across Cirium’s European, US & Asia offices. As well as heading projects, you’ll have the opportunity to create industry-leading content across multiple platforms, including our Market Commentaries, Thought Cloud Blog, Viewpoint Magazine, YouTube, as well as Cirium Live Events.
Responsibilities
- Conducting research into values and lease rates across multiple aircraft and engine types
- Delivering range of desktop appraisals to clients in accordance with client requirements and deadlines
- Communicating with customers to ensure meaningful delivery of our value opinions to the market
- Attending industry events and liaising with industry participants to gather information about market trends and developments
- Helping with the innovation and evolution of our product offering, including appraisal methodology
- Supporting key advisory projects that involve use of extensive Cirium data
- Creating industry-leading content across multiple platforms, including our Thought Cloud Blog, Viewpoint Magazine, YouTube, as well as Cirium Live Events.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (preferably a numerate one, even if not directly aviation related) from a well recognised educational institution is required.
- A high degree of numeracy is essential, including experience working with and manipulating large datasets.
- Knowledge of SQL and Python would be beneficial albeit not a must.
- Overall knowledge and experience of the aviation industry is favoured, or at the very least an interest in and passion for aviation.
- Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain complex topics to laypersons in a simple manner that they can understand.
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language; other languages are a plus.
- Project management experience on any scale would also be advantageous, albeit not essential.
- Professional experience in aircraft leasing or financial services or other consultancy work related to aviation would be favoured, albeit not essential.
- Being an ISTAT certified appraiser would be a plus although not required. If you are not certified the company will expect you to work toward certification in due course and offer you support towards that.
