As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. Your primary duties will involve operating a modern and well-maintained fleet on predetermined shift patterns, delivering to HGV-compliant locations. Key responsibilities include: β Conducting safe and efficient transportation of goods across the country β Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns and delivery schedules β Executing trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as per individual customer requirements β Ensuring compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies β Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all deliveries and collections β Representing DPD professionally in all interactions with customers and the public β Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly β Continuously monitoring and adapting to changing road conditions and traffic situations β Collaborating effectively with warehouse staff and other drivers to optimize logistics operations β Participating in regular training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices This role demands a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
