Working as part of a cross-functional team, you are recognized internally as a technical expert in an area of importance to the RDQ function. How you will contribute You will plan and lead complex technically focused projects while using your technical expertise to guide, direct and influence activities led by others. To ensure the right solutions are developed, you will use consumer knowledge and your technical expertise to identify future opportunities and to execute programs with technical rigor. This role will require you to work with cross-functional partners develop and align resource and budget needs for projects. You will be responsible for the technical outcomes of developments related to evaluating new ingredients, formulas, recipes, and processes and understanding the impact on scale up between laboratory and production facilities. You will also be responsible for quantifying the technical risks to make recommendations and influence stakeholders. As a subject matter expert, you will mentor and coach others to grow their technical talent. As a small company this role will work with and steer stakeholders from every aspect of business. Including but not limited to, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and logistics. It is a great opportunity to learn about wider end-to-end business processes outside of the RDQ function. The role holder will be a senior member of the R&D department, trusted to operate independently to plan, and lead complex technically focused projects in white spaces where the business has little to no experience. As a senior team member, the role holder will help coach and mentor junior team members and will also be a business-wide champion of technical expertise and rigour. What extra ingredients you will bring: · Experience in food or pharmaceutical development (pharmaceutical development opportunities are rare but possible) and manufacture, with an understanding of Quality, HACCP and food regulations. Experience in food supplement development is a bonus. · Experience in commercial and technical environments.
