About the role: The Manager, Business Affairs (UK) will work closely on business affairs matters across the UK Sixteenth and Sixteenth Sports teams. You will have a background in talent or influencer management and be experienced in talent negotiations and agreement review. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are a collaborative team player in all aspects of your work.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Provide daily BA oversight on global creator agreements, releases, and amendments.
- Collaboration with commercial, client, finance, operational, and senior leadership team from different parts of the world.
- Advising, planning, and coordinating all aspects of Business Affairs as it relates to talent acquisition and clearances.
- Supporting team with talent negotiations and documentation.
- Draft/review talent contracts including brand partnerships, licensing opportunities, book deals, product creation, for domestic and global use.
- Communication with SAG/AFTRA entities, as necessary.
- Advising the team on intellectual property, copyright, and ASA (amongst others).
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in talent negotiation and hands-on contract review.
- Talent management experience preferred.
- Passion for business affairs/contract management and social media.
- Able to work independently to fulfill business needs with minimal direct supervision.
- Responsible, self-motivated, highly organized individual who learns and adapts quickly.
- Experienced in talent contract administration and strong negotiation skills.
- Experience with licensing, royalty, and publishing agreements.
- Can lead and mentor others on all matters related to Business Affairs/talent acquisition.
- Ability to follow up effectively and work well under pressure.
- Willing and able to work extended hours when necessary or required based on business needs.
- Demonstrated experience in talent agreement drafting and negotiation is essential.
- Familiarity with contractual terms and general principles.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Confident when presenting to clients and team members.
- Can juggle multiple projects and work well under pressure.
- A high degree of professionalism with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
The salary range for this role is £48,000 - £60,000 and serves as a general guideline reflecting the potential compensation for the role. The final salary offer will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as the candidate's experience, expertise, alignment with the position's requirements, and, ultimately budget approvals.
