Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for robotics, automation, and seeing your work come to life on the factory floor? We're looking for a practical, skilled Installation & Workshop Engineer to join a leading team at the forefront of developing cutting-edge automated machinery for the food and fresh produce industry.
Based out of Peterborough, you'll split your time between our HQ workshop and customer sites across the UK with opportunities to make a real impact in delivering complex automation systems that transform how food is processed and packaged.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling and preparing automation systems in our well-equipped workshop
- Electrical and mechanical installation on customer sites (some overnight stays required)
- Testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on robotic and PLC-based systems
- Supporting the project delivery team across the full installation lifecycle
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience installing or supporting automated production equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills
- Comfortable with PLC/control systems (e.g. Siemens, RS Logix)
- Previous exposure to food production environments is a big plus
- Adaptable, deadline-driven, and confident working in varied settings
Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- ECS card or demonstrable electrical competency
- Full UK driving licence
- Certifications like IPAF, PASMA, forklift or CompEx are advantageous
