A leading UK law firm with a strong reputation in real estate disputes is looking for a Senior Paralegal to join its nationally recognised property litigation team, based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the largest property litigation practices in the UK, advising a diverse and high-profile client base including private landlords, developers, local authorities, and national retail groups.
The successful Senior Paralegal will join the residential litigation sub-team, specialising in residential possession claims. The role offers a fast-paced, high-quality caseload with strong opportunities for personal and professional development within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for providing legal advice and managing possession cases for private landlords and insurance clients. These cases typically involve assured shorthold tenancies, assured tenancies, Rent Act tenancies, and common law tenancies. Responsibilities will include drafting and issuing court proceedings, instructing counsel, liaising with clients, and managing correspondence efficiently and professionally.
The role also offers the opportunity to support with defended matters such as disrepair claims, subject to experience.
To be considered for the Senior Paralegal role, you would ideally have:
- Experience in residential possession work, ideally acting for landlords
- Strong knowledge of relevant legal procedures and housing legislation
- A Law degree, LPC or progressing/completed CILEX qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads within tight timeframes
- Excellent client care, written communication, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
