With a workforce of approximately 100 employees across manufacturing, logistics, and office functions, we are passionate about delivering exceptional quality and service to our customers. We are now seeking an experienced HR Advisor with Talent Acquisition expertise to join our team in a standalone role, reporting directly to the CEO.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in supporting the business through effective employee relations, talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance management. You will be instrumental in shaping the Human Resources function and contributing to the company\’s growth and success. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your HR expertise further, with the role evolving to include talent management responsibilities in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with company values.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Lead the recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees, setting them up for success.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR and health & safety standards.
Future Development: Talent Management
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement talent management strategies.
- Identify training and development opportunities to support employee growth and retention.
- Contribute to succession planning and career development initiatives.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an HR advisory / employee relations / recruitment / talent acquisition or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a standalone role.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment.
- CIPD qualification or working towards one is an advantage.
