Job Summary
Working in the Infrastructure Services team, supporting the delivery of significant infrastructure investment programmes, the Operational Management - Manager will play a critical role. You will be joining our small team, which is committed to making positive change in how we support delivery effectively and efficiently. We are dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service by taking an innovative and creative approach to resolving issues. We work collaboratively with the project delivery teams to foster good decision making and problem solving. Job Description
Delivery Enabling Services (DES) is at the heart of delivery in Homes England supporting the Delivery Directorates (Development, Investment and Markets, Partners and Places – DIMPP). DES translates policies, strategies and objectives into an operational framework for delivery to enable senior responsible officers (SROs) and budget holders to take accountability for delivery via three service areas:
- Control Environment – develop and operate efficient and effective ‘first line of defence’ controls and associated guidance for DIMPP delivery activities, including overseeing continuous improvement to address process and control deficiencies.
- Operations Management – develop and maintain an end-to-end operating environment that supports the project lifecycle, providing timely and effective activity and performance reporting to SROs and budget holders.
The Manager will be part of the Operations Management team, which comprises a number of teams delivering the full range of services to DIMPP. The Investment (Infrastructure Services) Team is responsible for a range of activities providing the operational management service to the Investment Directorate. The activities will cover the full project lifecycle, including supporting performance and activity reporting, developing improvements in business processes and quality of information, as well as providing guidance and support to Investment colleagues in the service area.

Key Skills And Experience
- Experience in the provision of operational delivery or programme management service activity, ideally in a similar public sector role.
- The ability to work at speed and analytically through a range of different tasks and priorities to deliver on competing tasks.
- Be someone who focuses on achieving results and communicating them clearly and concisely.
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in delivering similar services for government housing programmes.
