My client is a small independent firm of Chartered Surveyors & Valuers, regulated by the RICS. We look to provide valuable and useful information for our clients, ensuring they get a personal service. Established in 2020, the team has extensive experience within the London property sector, delivering Building Surveying and Valuation consultancy for residential and commercial clients. Due to our exciting pace of growth, we are looking for a junior level surveyor (ideally AssocRICS) to join our firm and further their career.

The job would entail all core Building Surveying services; however, it would be mainly focused on pre-purchase surveys for high-end London residential and commercial property. There is a hugely varied work environment, and no two days are the same. We can provide full APC training to get you to MRICS. There is the option to get involved with other disciplines, such as:

  • Listed Building Surveys
  • Scopes of Work & Contract Administration
  • Building Pathology / defects
  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Party Walls
  • Rights of Light
  • Measured Building Surveys / 3D scanning
  • Valuation

We mainly operate on a ‘work from home’ basis; however, there will be regular virtual and in-person team meetings, with the option to work from a shared workspace.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic surveyor who wants to gain experience and further their career. You will be able to motivate yourself and be dedicated to learning. The ideal candidate will have at least an AssocRICS qualification and a couple of years surveying experience. They will understand the basic material science around buildings and their defects.

Salary is negotiable depending on the individual and their experience. The candidate will have a choice whether they would like to work on a basic salary or a commission structure, this will start from £40,000 per annum. Other benefits include pension scheme, 28 days paid holiday, APC training and development, varied workload and travel expenses.

If you are a Consultancy based Quantity Surveyor of any level and seeking a new role, please contact Ilaria Ferrentino at Cityscape. I will be in touch to discuss the role further once I have had a chance to review your details.
