Cundall’s Marketing and Submissions team play a critical role across the global business. The team work across the 25 offices, 22 services and 14 sectors to ensure Cundall continue to be recognised as a world leading expert in innovative and sustainable design engineering. This is made possible by the team’s open and collaborative approach to dialogue and creative thinking and our shared ambition to collectively achieve great things.
In line with the continuing growth of our business in the UK and internationally, we now wish to appoint a Bid Manager to focus on ensuring that we continually improve the quality and success rate of our bids. The successful candidate will oversee and respond to complex tender opportunities enabling Cundall to continue our successful growth in a wide range of construction engineering services. Reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Partner, the Bid Manager will work as part of a collaborative multi-site Marketing team and within this lead the Submissions team. Managing workload, identifying opportunities and ensuring all are producing clear, compelling and persuasive bid documentation. Providing strategic guidance and developing strategies for success will also be a key requirement for this role.
The Bid Manager will also work closely with fee earners and senior stakeholders in our diverse specialist engineering teams to ensure a strong understanding of ongoing projects and potential opportunities, identifying the most effective bid strategies to ensure Cundall continue to secure profitable work on some of the most exciting building design projects in the UK and worldwide.
Degree-qualified, with experience in a bid management role, you have also proven yourself in professional services and/or a relevant consultancy and know what it takes to work successfully in a complex, multi-site and fast-paced environment. You have demonstrated your ability to think and work strategically and to co-ordinate closely with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives. Crucially, you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a proven track-record of influencing senior stakeholders in an assertive but diplomatic manner. Experience of working in the built environment sector would be advantageous.
