We’re looking for an experienced and organised admissions professional to join our team as Deputy Head of Admissions for a London-based University. In this key role, you’ll support the Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions in leading a busy, responsive team. You’ll take ownership of specific admissions workstreams, manage staff, and help drive service improvements, ensuring a smooth and positive journey for all applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day admissions operations across all applicant groups
- Line manage the Admissions Operations Manager and support wider team development
- Support and deputise for the Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions as required
- Lead on system improvements, workflow planning, and service delivery
- Monitor performance against service level agreements using data and reports
- Maintain strong relationships across faculties and support services
- Ensure compliance with university and sector policies, including UCAS requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience in a higher education admissions role, with an excellent understanding of UCAS processes
- Proven track record of managing people and working to deadlines in a fast-paced education environment
- Strong IT and system skills – ideally with CRM or student record systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience
