We are seeking an experienced Events & Communications Manager to lead external corporate events for our client, We Are Adam, based in Doncaster, UK. This role supports their business development team with a focus on raising brand awareness and reputation in the sector. The position is located in Manchester with a hybrid work model (2 days in the office per week) and is a 15-month fixed-term contract starting ASAP. EU work permit is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of monthly events.
- Manage event logistics, including venue bookings, marketing materials, invoices, and packing lists.
- Organize internal engagement events, sourcing venues as needed.
- Prepare and manage budgets for business development events.
- Serve as the primary contact for event-related inquiries.
- Support event delivery on the day, overseeing the event team.
- Evaluate event performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
- Develop an external corporate events calendar with the Chief Customer Officer.
- Oversee hiring of event personnel when necessary.
- Monitor and assess event success, hosting debrief meetings.
Communication Responsibilities
- Lead communication and marketing strategies for events and projects.
- Manage event promotion, including invitations, RSVPs, and social media collaboration.
- Develop sponsorship opportunities and secure sponsors.
- Ensure aligned messaging across internal teams.
- Create marketing strategies with the Head of PR & Communications.
- Support internal communications and recruitment outreach.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years in event management and communications planning.
- Strong logistical coordination and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in B2B marketing and post-event engagement.
