As the Visual Manager, you will need the energy, enthusiasm and tenacity to influence a team, leading them to success across our busy shop floors. Your role will involve balancing store deadlines and daily operations while elevating the in-store shopping experience for our customers. Your day to day will be spent reviewing store commercials and visuals, with quick reaction to trade trends, while also ensuring the right product, right place and right time through good planning and communication with all team members. You will be accountable for leading and developing the merchandising skills set of the store team.
What will I be doing?
- Ensure the Brand integrity of the Company is reflected at all times.
- Provide feedback to key partners, including but not limited to Head office, Corporate Visual department and store teams to drive the business through visual and merchandising opportunities.
- Review and approve floor maps prior to floorset execution and provide direction and feedback to Floor Managers.
- Partner with District Visual Manager and Store Manager to interpret and execute Corporate Visual communication and plan.
- Utilize and manage the use of weekly sales reports to analyze and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales.
- Proactive management of zero sellers, execution of recalls and any promotional/markdown activity.
- Effectively conduct a store walk-through with senior leadership.
- Train, guide and provide direction to store team on visual standards/expectations and product knowledge.
- Create floorset/refresh schedules to maintain store budget to ensure execution is seamless.
- Lead, coach and performance manage employees, not only in visual team but non-management team in-store.
- Responsible for ensuring the in-store environment is up to standards, including music and digital displays.
- Communicate and partner with Maintenance dept to resolve and expedite any store issues including but not limited to fixtures and lighting.
- Partners closely with Store Manager and Stock Manager to ensure effective execution.
- Design think to enhance visual presentation and drive business.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Visual Merchandising experience in a retail fashion environment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management/visual experience.
- Excellent organization and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask, time manage and be flexible.
- Strong customer service attitude and ability to work with all levels of the organization from field level to executive team.
- Ability to react quickly to a changing environment or direction, delivering results effectively and with pace.
- Use sound judgment and make key decisions when needed. Decisions must be commercial and visually sound.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups, tailoring messages to different audiences and effectively on subject matter.
- Manage and lead visual team to execute directives and maintain visual excellence in-store with pace and efficiency.
- Night, overnight and weekend work required at times.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Our outlet store in Bicester, Oxfordshire has been open since 2015 and usually trades from 9:00am - 20:00pm (subject to seasonal change). Bicester Village is world famous and attracts millions of people each year. Our close knit team all take it in turns to do the coffee run.
