AliveDx operates across sites in Eysins (Switzerland) and Edinburgh (Scotland).
We are recruiting for a Senior Technical Support Scientist to join our Alba Product Development and Support Team based at our ARC site near Penicuik, EH26 0BF. This role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role of the Senior Technical Support Scientist involves:
- Conducting advanced testing and investigations.
- Assisting with the coordination of the stability programme.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Contributing to the execution of technical projects and the implementation of departmental initiatives.
- Participating in continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform analytical testing to support technical investigations and resolve customer complaints.
- Coordinate and monitor global stability studies, ensuring adherence to schedules and documentation standards.
- Review and update SOPs, aligning documentation with regulatory expectations.
- Lead validation and product evaluation studies, driving improvements in test methods and outcomes.
- Prepare and review scientific documentation and customer-facing technical reports.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior team members in accordance with departmental frameworks.
- Support field evaluations and product trials.
- Drive departmental and management-led initiatives to completion.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, and logs are accurately completed in compliance with GLP.
- Troubleshoot laboratory issues in collaboration with colleagues and management.
Qualifications, Experience & Behaviours Required:
- Experience in blood group serology and laboratory environments operating under GMP or clinical conditions.
- Background in supervising, mentoring or training junior team members.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques (e.g. tube, CAT) and regulatory compliance.
- Skilled in data analysis, technical writing, and using standard IT tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information to various audiences.
