We’re looking for an 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join our Cloud and Devices Support team.
Location: Hybrid Working | Business Area: Cloud and Devices Support | Salary: Up to £25,000 depending on experience
Reporting into the Cloud and Devices Support Team Leader, this role requires an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking individual who has the ability to communicate clearly with our customers and provide first line ICT support.
The Role:
- Deliver exceptional 1st Line support to our customers by communicating with them clearly and accurately logging client support issues on our systems.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting activities and provide first time fix.
- Escalate support incidents to 2nd line and 3rd line engineers when first time fix is not possible within reasonable time.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
- Understand core Chess products and services and help identify up-sell opportunities across the range.
- Regularly achieve set targets and KPIs.
The Candidate:
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Reliable and hardworking.
- Organised and self-motivated.
- Knowledge of basic technology products and services.
- Interest in personal development and growth mindset regarding new skills.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware.
- Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365 end user skills.
- MCP certification would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Confidence to diagnose and fix customer issues.
Salary details: Up to £25,000 dependent on experience.
