Craven College is seeking a qualified and experienced lecturer to teach and assess across various courses within the Aviation & Travel programmes, including NCFE levels 1-3 and degree programmes. The successful candidate will act as a course tutor, contribute to curriculum development, and support student progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons using industry knowledge and real-world examples.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in accordance with college standards and awarding body requirements.
  • Carry out initial assessments and support individual learning plans.
  • Contribute to course development, quality assurance, and team collaboration.
  • Support student progress through regular meetings, monitoring attendance, and liaising with external agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and quality improvement plans.

Person Specification:

  • Level 2 GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths; willing to work towards higher qualifications if necessary.
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant subject area.
  • Teaching qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, PGCE, or Cert Ed).
  • Experience in aviation, travel, or ground operations roles.
  • Good administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and work independently and as part of a team.
