HR Shared Services Manager – Hill Group UK
As the HR Shared Services Manager at Hill Group UK, your role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering efficient, effective and customer-orientated HR operations and services.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all employee lifecycle processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity identifying process improvements and integrating technology solutions to improve our offering.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead an efficient and effective HR Service Delivery team that is knowledgeable, competent and motivated.
- Develop and empower the team to take ownership of customers and objectives by advising, coaching, and upskilling constantly striving for improvement.
- Drive the delivery of an exceptional HR Operations service provision which consistently delivers key transactional HR activities accurately.
- Manage and oversee the administration of accurate monthly instructions to payroll, resolving any issues quickly and effectively.
- Manage the processes and documentation associated with onboarding, absence management, internal mobility, employee relations and off-boarding
- Constantly review current HR processes and services sharing innovative solutions and identifying efficient and effective improvements. Support and lead improvement initiatives and internal project work.
- Serve as a champion for HRSS excellence, promoting consistent and outstanding service across all functions, including site-based and office teams.
- Deliver HR Surgeries or Best Practice sessions on key processes and systems
- Support the Salary and Bonus review exercise
- Develop a suite of reports and templates to populate Group dashboards, inform decision making and reduce errors
- Drive HR projects, such as the rollout of group-wide benefits, upgrading HR systems, transitioning from paper to electronic records, and implementing online systems.
- Accountable for Bob HRIS, ensuring its configuration and ongoing improvements align with Hill Group’s operational needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal GDPR teams and external advisors to ensure all HR processes are compliant with data protection regulations, safeguarding employee information.
- Oversee HR internal and external audit requirements, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards relevant to the construction sector.
- Overall ownership of DBS process in terms of compliance and guidance on the background screening process.
- Drive our Right to Work processes, including Visa and Resident Permit expiries, ensuring updated copies are obtained and checked within deadlines.
- Ensure the team are providing guidance to the business on all UK immigration enquiries and seeking legal support as required in the event of an escalation.
- Accountability for auditing, managing and quality checks on administering of the UK Government Sponsorship Management System to ensure records are updated and compliant by auditing regularly.
- Support the bid development process by providing information and reports on key HR Management information.
- Work in partnership with departments such as Talent and Learning & Development to ensure HR processes are seamlessly integrated and aligned with Hill Group’s broader goals.
- Advise on company policies and procedures, ensuring HR leadership and teams are well-versed in Hill Group’s best practices and compliance requirements.
- Develop and promote meaningful working relationships with stakeholders, acting as the primary HRSS contact for internal business leaders to ensure consistent HR support across all units.
